Kelsey Borden completed her undergraduate education at Roger Williams University and obtained a Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Her education provided a strong foundation in various counseling techniques and theoretical models.
Kelsey has extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She employs Strengths-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness in her practice. Kelsey is particularly skilled in addressing issues related to domestic violence, sexual violence, trauma, depression, anxiety, and self-harm.
Kelsey uses a client-centered and eclectic approach in therapy, integrating strengths-based methods with CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She emphasizes mindfulness techniques to help bridge the gap between mind and body awareness, aiming to enhance life satisfaction and reduce mental health symptoms.
